In a medium bowl, mix the
all-purpose and
rye flours together. Add 1 cup of flour to the wet ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon. Continue adding the flour, 1/2 cup at a time, and stir. The dough will get sticky. Once you add the last 1/2 cup of flour, use your hands to mix and knead the remaining flour to the dough. Knead the dough until you get a ball that is not too sticky on the outside, about 1 minute. If the dough is still sticky, add more all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.
